I enjoyed how this article spoke about and listed the major components a typical form will have, Such as Structure, Input Fields, Field Labels, Action button, and feedback. I liked how they described the structure of the form as a converstation between two parties the user and the website or app. I found it interesting that the structure of the form should be organized in a manner that is logical for the user and not from the application or databases perspective. I also found it interesting that they suggested avoiding using "submit" for actions because it will give the form a generic feeling, so instead use what the action button will perform. I believe the most valuable part of the article was the alignment of labels section where there was a study suggesting that forms get completed faster if the labels are on top of the fields.
In this article I really liked how they listed out top design practices. I found it interesting that they advised not to ask for phone numbers and that the company that ran a test lost 39% of user sign-ups because they required a phone number. I believe the most valuable information was to clearly title your form and to use one column. The reason for this is if you clearly title your form the user knows why they are filling out the specific information and if the form is in one column the users are able to fill it out an average of 15 seconds faster so the users are not wasting any more time of their day. I also found it valuable to align all text to the left so that it makes it natural to read and complete for the user.
